Persian Gulf or Arabian Gulf?
This body of water is known in the Arab world as the Arabian Gulf, while in Latin American countries and Iran as the Persian Gulf. It experiences some of the hottest temperatures in the world, with daytime temperatures reaching up to 45°C. The water in this shallow bay can also become very hot. This entire body of water is approximately 1,000 km long and, on average, 200 km wide, and connects to the Arabian Sea via the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman.
